Srinagar 6 March (KNO) : Appealing militant outfits to come clean over the killing of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, a youth from Hajin, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has said that there has to be a difference between those fighting the occupation and those controlling Kashmir at the barrel of the gun. In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said “The way body of Manzoor Ahmad was decapitated is one of the rare incidents in the history of Kashmir.

Since Security agencies and few others have started raising fingers towards the militant outfits, it is moral duty of all militant organizations who are enjoying a popular support in every nook and corner of Kashmir to tell people truth about the incident. Despite the huge negative propaganda against those who have taken arms in their hands against India’s oppression, Kashmiri masses have been sacrificing everything to protect those whom they believe to be warriors of Kashmir.

Kashmiris have full understanding of the fact that militants operate in toughest circumstances and it may be very difficult for them to tolerate those among their own masses who are after their blood, but they must either own the killing or deny it and need not to forget that dead bodies deserve respect. We need to uphold the Islamic traditions and values and must be clear in our actions and vision so that propaganda of enemies of Kashmir falls flat”.

Er. Rasheed ridiculed for Omer Abdullah’s criticism on Huriyat over the issue and said “Before condemning pro-resistance camp for keeping silence over the killing of Manzoor Ahmad, Omer Abdullah should know that it was he in whose regime Afzal Guru was hanged and his body was also denied to the family like what had happened with Maqbool Bhat’s family in Farooq Abdullah’s rule. In his regime Kashmiris were butchered and hundreds were buried in unmarked graves and Kashmir became a lawless place.

As such he has lost the moral ground to ask Huriyat or anybody else to condemn the killing of Manzoor and Kashmiris know better when and how to react over issues”. Er. Rasheed also ridiculed Omer Abdullah for challenging Huriyat to give a strike call against the killing and said “If Omer Abdullah is feeling so much pained and upset, why doesn’t he give a strike call to condemn the killing rather taking a dig at Joint Resistance Leadership. His appeal or whatsoever to pro-resistance leadership has exposed the fact that main stream leaders despite enjoying power have no control on the ground”.(KNO)
